Being offered this key role at Protec was perfect timing, according to Andrew Micallef. After recovering from an unfortunate motorcycle accident, he was looking for a new career direction. “I could see what was happening in the market and how Protec was evolving and improving so it’s an exciting role with lots of opportunities.”

Despite a couple of short stints elsewhere, Andrew’s career has focused on the collision repair industry. That includes completing a spray painting apprenticeship and working as a paint technician, as well as a long stretch at PPG as a Territory Manager, a Business Development Manager and an MVP Manager. Andrew reckons the performance and value of Protec’s new product range is getting serious attention in the industry and that’s making his job easier.

“Due to the rising cost of materials, many bodyshops are looking for alternatives but they don’t want to go cheap and nasty.
