History

Protec has been locally manufacturing and distributing superior coatings for 30 years.

From a one-room office in Adelaide in 1978, the company quickly became known for providing a brighter, longer-lasting and easier to apply coating to the automotive industry.

In 1983 the company moved into a larger manufacturing facility to cope with an expanded product range and increased national sales.

By 1992, the word about Protec products was well and truly out. To satisfy demand, the company moved into a 4-hectare purpose built manufacturing plant in Adelaide.

Today, Protec has company owned stores in every state and has many distributors nationwide.  The company’s product range has expanded to over 6,000 items with the company providing coatings for the automotive, industrial, construction, building and marine industries.

The company exports to New Zealand, China, UK, Germany, Italy, USA and PNG.

The Protec product range may be larger and more advanced today, but the business philosophy of 30 years ago remains - to create superior coating products at value for money prices.
